A meal in Guatemala is not complete without a pile of steaming corn tortillas. Unlike their north of the border equivalent, Guatemalan tortillas are thick and smoky. To really experience their unique flavor, go to a restaurant like Los Antojitos that has it’s own tortillera – a women (usually!) who keeps the tortillas flowing off a hot grill.
