This friendly deli claims it invented, in the 1930s, the Sloppy Joe deli sandwich (nothing to do with the ground-beef one): a triple-decker on excellent thin-sliced rye, with your choice of meat (we did roast beef & turkey), Swiss cheese, cole slaw & homemade Russian dressing. It is huge & pricey, around $20 each, but obvi can feed several people. And it’s quite enjoyable to eat, I gotta admit. Definitely get some of that rye bread to go before you leave.
